M.E.2 Cable Tray CAD Drawings
The M.E.2 cable tray CAD drawings are in DXF format. DXF files can be inserted into any CAD program which accept this file format in order to create the cable tray layout desired using Cable-Mgr.'s M.E.2 Series straight sections, reducers and L, X, T junctions.
When inserted into the drawing the files will be in a 1 to 1 scale which is the correct standard for this file format.
All files include top, side and front views are contain on this files.
All files can be inserted into a CAD program which supports AutoCAD Release 13 or higher. Currently AutoCAD 2006 is the latest version.

DXF FORMAT
DXF is one of the most common "vector-based" file formPlenum Innerduct used by CAD drawing software products such as AutoCAD, DesignCAD and ModelCAD. If you are familiar with and own (or know someone who has access to) one of these CAD drawing programs, the DXF file format is preferred because the files are small, render quickly and accurately, and display at high resolution. Depending on the software used, you may be able to "tile" the DXF files so they will print on a typical home or office printer. These files are also suitable for use with large printers and plotters. Your local photo or print shop may also be able to help you to obtain printouts of these files. |
The M.E.2 cable management system is manufactured with rigid .187 diameter zinc plated steel wire, welded in a 2 inch x 4 inch grid. M.E.2 cable trays can be configured at the installation site. Seven or 10 foot straight tray sections are easy to handle. Two or 4 inch deep trays available in 6, 8, 12, 18 and 24 inch widths, offer a wide variety of wire channel routing and protection options. The 2 x 4 inch grid design facilitates simple cable break outs while supporting the cable. The open grid design prevents dirt and dust build-up experienced in closed cable trays. Changes in tray routing directions are made with factory fabricated “L,” “T,” and “X” type tray junctions. Reducer sections come in wider dimensions only where required, building in cost savings. Tray sections can be easily interconnected, using industry common splice washer clamps. M.E.2 trays can be mounted on walls or posts, on ceilings or installed under raised flooring with Cable-Mgr Hardware.
Features and Benefits
- Field fabricated junctions allow for difficult installations.
- Seven or 10 foot length straight tray sections can be cut to length or formed by cutting side wires to change routing elevation at the installation site.
- 2 x 4 inch grid provides easy cable routing in or out of tray sections.
- Available metal tray divider for cable separation.
- Rigid steel construction – Made in the USA.
- Alternative finishes:
- Hot dip galvanized
- 304 stainless steel

The Wiremaid U.S.A. Products Division of Vutec Corporation entered the cable tray arena with the development of PRO-10 and M.E.2 wire cable tray systems.
PRO-10 cable tray is an innovative and cost-effective system that easily adapts to the most difficult installations. Designed for the low voltage industry and developed with the architect, engineer and installer in mind, PRO-10's pre-fabricated junctions/intersections and ease of installation make it a cost-effective choice of contractors throughout the United States.
M.E.2 cable tray management system is manufactured with rigid .187 diameter zinc-plated steel wire, welded in a two inch by four inch grid facilitating easy cable break outs while supporting the cable. The open grid design prevents dirt build-up and dust experienced in closed cable trays. |

Wiremaid U.S.A. has just created the "Cable Tray Maker,” an easy-to-use cable tray designer that takes the guess work out of ordering a cable tray system. Click on a cable tray part, choose your options and add the quantity. It creates a bill of materials that you can print or email.
• Requires NO bending or cutting; ready–made 4-way, “T” and “L” shaped junctions
• Acts as a continuous ground conductor; no grounding splices
• Adapts to difficult architectural designs to accommodate changes in direction and elevation of cable runs
• Cuts installation time up to 50 percent
• Provides strength, rigidity without additional hardware; has smooth edges
• Manufactured in an array of protective, powder-coated, colored finishes to minimize corrosion
• Featured in light or heavy duty product styles
• All support hardware available
• Powder coating is standard finish
• Custom sizes available
