from simple "quick talk" extenders to multi-line (24 channel) PBX line
extenders allowing you to use existing fiber optic cable to run your voice needs
over 2 fiber strands or install fiber optic cable one time and use fiber optics
for security proof voice, data, IP, video services on one media- fiber.
The TC1900/1 "Quick-Talk" RS232 or Fiber Phone Extender extends dial-up phone service to remote sites over Async RS-232 or Fiber. Compatible with most PBXs or Key Systems, it provides 2-wire FXS on the telephone side with ring down capability and FXO on the PBX side.Quick-Talk is typically used to extend dial-up phone service to remote sites over a fiber optic (TC1901) or RS-232 circuit (TC1900). Other examples include extending a secured phone link to a remote site via an existing RS-232 or Fiber connection or setting up "hot links" via existing RS-232 links on satellite, fiber optic or microwave networks. When both sides are set to FXS, a "Hot Link" can be established. The TC1900/1 supports toll quality voice, asynchronous baud rates from 19.2K and bandwidths from 300Hz to 3.4Khz. Sixteen diagnostic LEDs and a Dry Contact for External Alarm and Ringer Connection are standard.

Description
The
TC1900/1901 "Quick-Talk" Phone Extender can turn a fiber optic network
or RS-232 circuit into a voice network simply by plugging a telephone set into
an RJ-11 connector. It is compatible with most PBXs or Key Systems. Quick-Talk
is typically used to extend dial-up phone service to remote sites over a fiber
optic (TC1901) or RS-232 circuit (TC1900). For example, a user can extend a secured
phone link to a remote site via an existing satellite or microwave RS-232 data
connection. With the optional fiber optic front end, Quick-Talk can extend a phone
line up to 20 miles away. Quick-Talk
provides 2-wire FXS (foreign exchange subscriber) on the telephone side with ring
down capability and FXO (foreign exchange office) on the PBX side. When both sides
are set to FXS, a "Hot Link" can be established; when one side lifts
up the handset, the other side starts ringing. Available
in standalone (TC1900S) or rackmount (TC1900R) versions, it is compatible with
all popular types and sizes of fiber optic cable. Diagnostic aids include 16 diagnostic
LEDs for indicating power, ring, FXS, FXO, and audio activity. The TC1900R PC
Card version fits into TCRM191 and TCRM195 rackmount card cages. Quick-Talk
is available with RS-232 or optical interfaces. The optical interface is available
in multimode (850/1300nm) or single mode (1300/1550nm) versions, with ST, FC or
SC connectors. A local dry contact relay is also provided for external alarm and
ringer connection. Power
is 12VDC or 115/230VAC with an external power cube. 24VDC is optional. Power redundancy
is standard. Electrical connectors are RJ-11 Female for both the telephone set
& RS-232 connections. *For ordering purposes, the TC1900 is the RS-232
version. TC1901 is the fiber version.

with Power Adapter Description The
TC1910 Ethernet Telephone Extender enables telephone service over a LAN via 10Base-T
Ethernet connections. It has a built-in Codec that digitizes voice and converts
to packets for transmission between local and remote TC1910s with designated IP
addresses. It is compatible with PBX and Key Systems (POTS). LAN
connections can be made by most types of Full Duplex Ethernet devices, including
switches, routers, bridges, transceivers, etc. A Web-based Configuration user
interface (most browsers including Microsoft Windows Explorer, etc.) is provided
to view network settings or change IP addresses from the factory default. Phone
connection is automatic upon power-up or when network interruption is restored.
Depending on network traffic, multiple pairs of TC1910s can be used to set up
individual point-to-point telephone links. A hardened temperature version (-20°
to 70°C), Model TC1910T, is available for harsh environments. The
TC1910 provides Toll Quality sound within voice bandwidths from 300Hz to 3.4KHz.
Two types of voice applications are supported: one, connecting to a PBX for outside
telephone service; two, setting up a "hot link" point-to-point connection,
e.g. between two work stations, within a LAN. Two-wire FXS (foreign exchange subscriber)
is provided on the telephone side with ring down capability and FXO (foreign exchange
office) on the PBX side. Eighteen
LEDs for network status, phone status, power and volume are provided to enhance
status monitoring and diagnostics. Dry contacts for external alarm and ringer
are standard.
