    Kwik Kase™ Load Coil Cases
Kwik Kase Load Coil Cases take advantage of the modular design of Charles load coils. A U-shaped design (2/3 enclosed ABS plastic tube) allows coils to be easily snapped into or out of the case. This intelligent modular design allows for future expansion with minimal service needs. Technicians just need snap in additional coils when needed. Kwik Kases mount to enclosure backboards with provided bolting hardware.

    Kwik Kases come equipped with mini 88mH coils, although other inductances may be special ordered. Available coil counts are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 20, 24 and 25.

    Ready Access Load Coil Cases
Ready Access Load Coil Cases are designed for use in splice cases, buried plant housings and ready access closures. All Charles single load coils are modular in design. Load coils are assembled in an ABS plastic tube and totally encapsulated with a polyurethane compound. Tie straps are included for convenient mounting to enclosure backboards.
Each case is provided with fully color coded, band stripped, 36” long plastic insulated copper conductors which are compatible with filled cable. The leads are grouped IN and OUT with matching pair colors in the IN and OUT groups corresponding to the same coil. Ready Access Load Coil Cases come equipped with mini 88mH coils, although other inductances may be special ordered. Available coil counts are 3, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 16, 18 and 25.

    In-Splice Modular Load Coil Case
The contour design of Charles’ In-Splice Modular Load Coil Case is designed to mount inside buried distribution splice closures such as Charles Pedlock Pedestals, attachable to the splice bundle itself. The contour design conforms to the shape of round closure domes, preventing dome closure problems. By in-splice mounting load coils within the buried distribution splice closure, the need for separate component cases is eliminated.

The In-Splice Modular Load Coil Case houses 25 load coils in an encapsulated, shock absorbing ABS plastic case. Components are terminated with 24 gauge, 36” long color-coded leads. Other lead lengths may be special ordered.

    Universal Load Coil Cases
Universal Load Coil Cases are both versatile and convenient. These cases are truly universal, with mounting options for utility power, aerial strands, and manholes in addition to direct burial installation. With the ability to house from 25 to 3,600 load coils, Universal Load Coil Cases are the convenient way to place line conditioning components wherever they are needed in the local loop.
Rugged polyethylene case enclosures provide optimal protection against all weather conditions, ground acids and corrosive elements in the environment. Their compact size and light weight enables a reduction in installation costs and reduces shipping and handling charges. Underground manhole rebuilding requirements can be reduced dramatically.
The provided stubbing cable is constructed of PASP type plastic with insulated color-coded conductors. Standard stub length is 10 feet, although any length may be special ordered. The connection between the stub and load coil case is physically bonded, providing both strain relief and a weather-resistant seal. Positive moisture and pressure dam is affected in the neck of the case by a unique vacuum process, drawing the damming compound into the stub. This eliminates moisture propagation into the case. Preconnectorized cable ends are available.

All cases are hermetically sealed with a special chemical bonding process. For additional strength and security all case component joints are welded and double sealed. Internal flooding of the entire case with non-hydroscopic urethane provides dielectric integrity and resistance to moisture, thermal shock and impact.
