Specifically designed for Optical Ethernet (OE) applications,
the remotely managed Fiber Driver® Optical Ethernet Termination (OET)
modules from MRV Communications offer support for IEEE 802.3ah (models
EM316GRMAH and EM316EFRMAH) and our own unique IPLess™ (model EM316EFRMAH)
technology. Each allows for end-to-end network management without the SNMP agent
or IP address typically required for the termination unit. With the installation
of the remotely managed OET modules, multiple links can be monitored and
controlled at the aggregation site using an 802.3ah enabled switch or a Fiber
Driver Network Management Module (EM316NM).
