Category 7/Class F (ISO/IEC 11801) cable specifications require transmission frequencies of up to 600 MHz over 100 meters of fully shielded copper cabling. CAT7 cable consists of four individually shielded pairs inside an overall braided shield, also known as Shielded Twisted Pair Cable (SSTP), or S/FTP (Shielded Foil Twisted Pair). CAT7 features even more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise than CAT6, and is designed specifically for Gigabit Ethernet applications (Gigabit over copper).
Part of the Siemon TERA cabling solution, TERA-to-TERA patch cords deliver twice the bandwidth of category 7A/class FA specifications when combined with the TERA outlet. TERA delivers up to 1.2 GHz of bandwidth per pair, providing the extra bandwidth critical for demanding applications like Broadband Video, with an upper frequency requirement of 862 MHz. Facilitated by 1- and 2-pair patch cords, TERA’s extended performance also supports cable sharing — the simultaneous convergence of video, voice and data onto a single 4-pair cable and outlet.

Custom modular cable assemblies are available.Category 7 cable (Cat 7), (ISO/IEC 11801:2002 category 7/class F), is a cable standard for Ethernet and other interconnect technologies that can be made to be backwards compatible with traditional Cat 5 and Cat 6 Ethernet cable. Cat 7 features even more strict specifications for crosstalk and system noise than Cat 6. To achieve this, shielding has been added for individual wire pairs and the cable as a whole.
The Cat 7 cable standard has been created to allow 10 Gigabit Ethernet over 100 m of copper cabling (also, 10-Gbit/s Ethernet now is typically run on Cat 6a). The cable contains four twisted copper wire pairs, just like the earlier standards. Cat 7 can be terminated either with 8P8C compatible GG45 electrical connectors which incorporate the 8P8C standard or with TERA connectors. When combined with GG45 or TERA connectors, Cat 7 cable is rated for transmission frequencies of up to 600 MHz.
Same as Cat6 patch cords, except that are made to a higher standard (see comparison chart below). The Cat7 standard is still in the works (as of this writing) and is not yet part of the 568A standard. One major difference with cat7 patch cables and patch cords (as compared with cat 5, cat5e, and cat6 patch cables) is that all 4 pairs are individually shielded, and an overall shield enwraps all four pairs. Cat7 patch cords will use an entirely new connector (other than the familiar RJ-45 used for cat 5, cat 5e and cat 6 patch cords).

Cat 6 is completely backward-compatible with current Cat5e equipment. Our Cat 6 Cables are composed of 4 pairs 24 AWG stranded conductors with PVC jackets. Conductors are wired to gold plated RJ45 plugs in accordance with the TIA/EIA 568B standard (Telephone Industry Association/Electronics Industry Association.) Cat6 cable specifications require stagger terminated wiring, as shown above. Cat 6 Shielded Cable is used in network applications such as 10Base-T, 100Base-T, 1000Base-T Ethernet technology to 100 meters (328 feet), and have been designed specifically for Gigabit Ethernet applications (Gigabit over copper). They perform at high-data transfer rates, and work with ATM and gigabit speed products. These cables deliver improved performance over standard Cat5e cables.
